Three years ago, when the Law and Justice political party took control of the Polish government, Western media began a smear campaign against Poland.
The new media narrative is that the party and its supporters were embracing the far right and leading Poland down a racist, nationalistic path.
There is a story in Poland to tell – but it’s not the story the mainstream media is telling you.
In Poland, a formerly communist country, the youth are fighting back against tyranny.With communism still fresh in the memory of many Polish citizens, the young people of this Eastern European country are doing something that many young people in Western Europe wouldn’t dream of – they’re standing up to the far left.
If only 18-24 year olds voted in the next General Election in the UK, the Conservative Party wouldn’t win a single seat. Far-left Labour would win 600.
But over in Poland, it’s vastly different. The youth are proud of their country, turning out in force to their huge Independence Day march, and voting more conservatively than most other European states.
So what’s happening? How is Poland so different?
That’s what I want to find out. I want to discover the real story in Poland, and find out why the Polish youth are so brave in the face of EU and far-left tyranny. The mainstream media won’t tell us the truth, so it’s down to us to find out.
In Poland I'll speak to the youth – from footballers to young voters, cultural influencers, to even patriotic rap stars who are being de-platformed online. I want to find out how they mustered the courage to fight back, and see what the British youth can learn from them.
