Flagowy okręt rosyjskiej floty czarnomorskiej Moskva zatonął podczas holowania, potwierdziło w czwartek Ministerstwo Obrony tego kraju.
"Podczas holowania... do portu statek stracił stateczność z powodu uszkodzenia kadłuba w czasie pożaru spowodowanego detonacją amunicji" - czytamy w oświadczeniu ministerstwa. Zgodnie z wcześniejszym oświadczeniem członkowie załogi statku zostali pomyślnie ewakuowani.
Dziś wcześniej ukraińskie siły zbrojne twierdziły, że pożar został spowodowany uderzeniem rakiety.

Russia's Black Sea fleet flagship Moskva has sunk during towing, the country's Defense Ministry confirmed on Thursday.
"During the towing ... to the port, the ship lost its stability due to damage to the hull suffered during the fire caused by the detonation of ammunition," the ministry said in a statement. Members of the vessel's crew have been successfully evacuated, according to an earlier statement.
Earlier today, Ukraine's armed forces claimed that the fire was caused by a missile strike.
