W lipcu tego roku mineła 65 rocznica śmierci gen. Władysława Sikorskiego, Naczelnego Wodza i Premiera Rządu Polskiego na uchodźstwie. Jest to rocznica szczególna – gen. Sikorski zginął śmiercią żołnierza 4 lipca 1943 roku właśnie w wieku 62 lat. Wizyta generała w twierdzy gibraltarskiej, która była przystankiem w podróży z Kairu do Londynu, zakończyła się tragicznie w tajemniczych, do dnia dzisiejszego niewyjaśnionych okolicznościach.
